Sunday Post #7 | A Snow Day

Posted December 10, 2017 in Sunday Post / 22 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

So after a week of 60-70 degree weather, it snowed on Friday. All. Damn. Day. We had over five inches of snow THAT ACTUALLY STUCK? The roads became frozen and slushy and everything else covered in snow. And then on Saturday is started to melt. Thank God because our Dish went out and my grandpa was driving us bat shit crazy and we discovered just how bad his addiction to his shows truly is.

It was a weird week. We’ve never had snow this early in the year and its been years since we’ve had so much snow that wasn’t actually just pretty ice. I have a feeling this is not the only snow we’ll see this winter.

They’re all stunning! I can’t wait to crack them open 🙂 Yes, it would be awesome to have a white winter!

I’m glad to hear it. I’ve heard great things about the series! Oh dear, more snow? Wishing you a safe and warm winter!

  1. Oh I remember when I had a dish and the snow/ ice would freeze o it and it would go out. Hated that lol. Seems like it’s been snowing lots of places this week. We got some too.

    Hope it’s a good week. 🙂

Crossing my fingers that you get some! We usually don’t get snow before the new year but it has been a crazy season so far. 🙂

  2. The weather seems to be bonkers everywhere at the moment. It’s snowing in London too I believe. In Australia down south we’re having heatwaves and flash flooding, it’s been bizarre. They’ve announced year of La Nina, so we’re expecting severe weather and with a dry, hot summer coming, we’ll probably see a repeat of the deadly Black Saturday bush fires we had here almost two decades or so ago. Hopefully the weather starts picking up there soon Sarah, if not, at least your lovely new reads will keep you company until it clears up. Take care out there <3

  3. I hear it’s supposed to be a bad winter, but I guess we’ll see. We got a bit of snow Saturday but it didn’t stick too much – plus it was pretty much all gone by Sunday afternoon.

  4. I do love the snow but only around the holidays. But then I grew up with 6-8 months of winter so it doesn’t bother me. We still haven’t had much snow yet, but normally we don’t get a ton till late december and early January. But ice is really scary stuff.
